Welcome - Here is our journey so far

Welcome to our new blog blog.  The main purpose of this blog is a guide to travelling with a baby.  As a non-driver, I rely on public transport and, as many will know, travelling on public transport with a baby in tow is not an easy feat.

Chloe, aka Baby Nemo, is 8 months old and has already been on a few adventures.  Most have been fairly simple (although the London Underground was not fun) and I will be talking about those over the coming days and weeks.

Going forward, we plan to spend our time as trying to find lots of things to do and places to go.  They won't always be age appropriate for Chloe (some of our days out will involve my 10 year old stepson), however, I will be talking about whether they are accessible for buggies, whether they are easy to get to and from if using public transport, what the facilities are like, including the baby changing facilities, and any other little titbits that I think might be useful to other mummies.

Just to put some things into context, we have a Mamas and Papas sola2 travel system.  It's not a particularly large buggy but it isn't small either.  Stagecoach buses have a lovely spot on many of their fleet where it fits just nicely without using the wheelchair space.  Ooh before I forget, buses will feature a lot!!!

We have also just bought an Ergobaby original carrier.  We previously had a Babylo 3 in 1 baby carrier but Chloe has grown out of this now.  Don't get me wrong, I like baby carriers and sometimes they are so much easier than pushing the buggy around (particularly if you're somewhere with a lot of stairs), however it has taken us a while to find one that suits both myself and Mark.

If there are any other questions you have about any of the trips we've made or any information you would like including in this blog please comment below.

Most of all, I hope you find it useful.

Love

Kathrina & Chloe.
